What actually replaces the spreadsheet
A ledger, not a cell you overwrite
Reorder points that flag themselves
Real locations, not one big number
Purchase orders with a real lifecycle
The ledger is the source of truth, not the count on screen
On hand, reserved, incoming — each number is a live projection of every movement ever recorded, not a cell someone edits. A storefront sale writes a Sale movement and releases the checkout reservation. Receiving a purchase order adds stock and clears what was incoming. A stocktake correction is an Adjustment with a note. Six months later the ledger still explains what happened and who did it, not just what the number is today.
Suppliers and purchase orders, properly linked
A supplier is a record — contact details, payment terms, lead time — and a purchase order is tied to one, headed to a specific location, totalling its own line items, shipping and tax. Receive it all at once or line by line as partial shipments land; each receipt writes its own stock movement. Cancel an order that never shipped and the incoming stock it promised is rolled back, so your "expected" count doesn't quietly drift from reality.
What it costs — read this part first
No. The Management add-on covers expenses and the Balance profit view only. Inventory, purchase orders, suppliers and e-invoicing all come with the online store, on the Pro plan and above.
No — what's described here is accurate per-location counts, reorder points and a clean audit trail, not an automated fulfilment-routing engine. If you need stock split and held per region, that's the separate Multi-store & regions add-on.
As a list on your dashboard — not a push notification or an email. Check it the way you'd check any other dashboard widget.
